AIR Robo holds training courses for "First-Class Unmanned Aircraft Pilot" and "Second-Class Unmanned Aircraft Pilot" certifications for rotary-wing aircraft. Instruction adheres to the manual provided by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Application to the MLIT Civil Aviation Bureau is required after course completion and license acquisition. The courses are led by instructors with extensive practical experience, and fees are set at a reasonable level.
*Note: While there was previously no national qualification for operating unmanned aircraft, the "Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Skill Certification System" was implemented on December 5th, 2022. This system includes two certification levels: "First-Class Unmanned Aircraft Pilot" and "Second-Class Unmanned Aircraft Pilot." Obtaining the skill certificate requires passing a physical examination, a knowledge test, and a practical test. Generally, these tests are administered by the national Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Testing Organization. However, applicants can be exempted from the practical test by successfully completing a course at a private "Registered Training Organization" approved by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
